Fletcher Presbyterian Church

Our Beliefs

The Vision of Fletcher Presbyterian

As a Christian church, we join with Christians throughout the centuries affirming the Apostle’s Creed

As a Presbyterian church, we stand within the reformed tradition (coming out of the protestant reformation) in terms of articulating our theological commitments, worship practices, and governing structures.

Reformed Theological Commitments

  • Commitment to the Bible
  • Commitment to God as the main worker and center of all things
  • Commitment to living with God by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone for God’s glory alone

Our leadership adheres to the Westminster Confession of Faith along with the Westminster Larger and Shorter Catechisms. We believe these are helpful summaries of what the Bible teaches.

Reformed Worship

We believe God determines how he wants to be worshipped and what kind of worship forms us into the image of Christ. Therefore, we are committed to a liturgical format of worship which includes a  call to worship, communal prayers, confession of sins, assurance of forgiveness, responsive readings, preaching, regular observance of the sacraments, and benediction. See The ARP Directory of Public Worship.

Reformed Governing Structures

  • Shepherded by elders and pastors
  • Connected, supported, and accountable to sister churches

As an expression of being a connectional church, we are part of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, one of the oldest denominations in America. See The ARP Form of Government and The ARP Book of Discipline.
