Our Vision

The Vision of Fletcher Presbyterian

Fletcher Presbyterian Church aims to co-labor with God to cultivate a Christ-centered community rooted in the Bible that helps people explore, embrace, and express the love of the Father, the grace of Jesus, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

We explore, embrace, and express the love of the Father, the grace of Jesus, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit by:

Growing in Grace

Growing in Grace

2 Peter encourages us “to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ” (v. 18). Therefore, as we aim to cultivate a Christ-centered community, we aim to foster a community that is growing in receiving and extending God’s grace. All that Jesus does in us and for us are of God’s free grace.

Embracing One Another

Embracing One Another

When joined to Jesus by faith, God joins us with others who believe in Jesus (Eph. 2:11–22). Jesus commands us to love each other as he has loved us. By our love for each other the world will know we are his disciples. Therefore, learning to embrace each other is critical for exploring, embracing, and expressing the love of the Father, grace of Jesus, and fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

Delighting in God

Delighting in God

True worship is a divine activity. The Spirit must be the one to lead us into truth and it is through Jesus our High Priest that we are able to come boldly to the throne of grace. True worship is also a human activity. God desires people to offer their whole heart to him (our joys, fears, questions) and encompasses the artistic and cultural expressions of God’s people.

Blessing Our Neighbors

Blessing Our Neighbors

God blesses his people so that they will be a blessing to the world (Gen. 12:2–3). We, therefore, want to be a blessing to Fletcher.  And since the biggest blessing is knowing Jesus, we aim to make Christ known to our neighbors in word and deed. Therefore, we want to equip people to express the love of the Father, grace of Jesus, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit so that our community hears and sees the blessing of God in Christ.

Pursuing the Renewal of All Things

Pursuing the Renewal of All Things

Jesus has come to make all things new. Jesus has come to renew us in his image, reconcile to himself all things (Col. 1:19), and one day make all things new (Rev. 25:1). While the ultimate renewing of all things is to come, we believe that by his Spirit Jesus enables us to pursue meaningful renewal now. He calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). He calls us to renew our relationships and work for renewal and restoration in our homes, church, and community.
